Studio Independent Study

Planned Coursework:

In the field: photographic investigation of abstract forms found in nature that may include flowers, leaves, trees, bark, stone, water, etc.

In the studio: formal, methodical, and organized exploration of imaging and printing techniques to assist in the further abstraction of the images taken in the field. Will explore color treatments, image layering, printing surfaces and drawing or painting over the image.

Final products to be delivered at the end of the semester:

Present a cohesive body of work that represents the finished and desired results stemming from the investigation of form in the field and exploration of imaging techniques completed in the studio.
